Sanctuary

Sanctuary
is Coast Guard certified for up to 39 passengers plus
crew, but we limit passengers to about 75% of her
capacity to provide an even better experience. She
has a comfortable cabin with upholstered seating,
outside seating--both covered and uncovered--and one
restroom.
Her snack bar features Starbuck's instant coffee,
instand cappuccino mix, assorted teas, hot cocoa,
sodas, waters, candies, crackers, granola bars and
chips. Everything is reasonably priced and sells for
50 cents to $1.50.
Sanctuary received some great treatment in 2010.
She got brand new John Deere diesel engines, new gear
boxes, new propellers, new electronics and a new paint
job. She is especially clean-running and fuel efficient,
which means a lot to us as conservationists.
She had the honor of being the first boat to utilize
the new bilge pumpout system in Monterey during the
opening ceremony because we have aligned ourselves
so firmly on the side of protecting the ocean.
Ironically, Steph keeps her engine room bilge so clean, there wasn't much oily waste for the facility to separate. But what a wonderful facility it is! As bilge water is pumped out, the oily waste is separated into a drum and recycled, while the water is returned to the bay. Moss Landing Harbor now has an oily waste pumpout station as well.
